What Is the MagVenture Atlas?
Unlike standard TMS systems that rely on general landmarks or measurements of the head (typically with a tape measure), Atlas can either import data from your MRI or create a highly sophisticated real-time 3D simulation based on 153 others customized to you.
Using real-time 3D tracking sensors, the system locates eight specific anatomical points on your head/skull and generates a fully customized 3D brain image. This enhances the ability to target the area of the brain that needs stimulation more precisely than the older and common conventional methods.
Your treatment plan is developed by our Harvard-trained, double board-certified psychiatrist, and customized using the MagVenture Atlas system to determine treatment specific to you.
How the MagVenture Atlas Works
- 3D Brain Mapping
Using anatomical data (an MRI or highly advanced simulation), the Atlas system creates a personalized brain map for each patient, identifying the specific regions involved in depression. - Neuronavigation
Atlas uses a sophisticated tracking system with sensors to track the position of the TMS coil in relation to your head, adjusting in real-time to allow precise placement. - Individualized Targeting
Every brain is different. Atlas allows your clinician to select the precise stimulation target for optimal outcomes far beyond the limitations of standard “one-size-fits-all” protocols. The system is displayed in front of you so you can watch in real time.
What to Expect During Treatment
